Privacy & analytics
This portfolio uses optional first-party measurement to understand how many people visit, which projects they read and which resources they open. Your choice does not affect access to the portfolio or downloads.
What is measured
If you allow statistics, a signed, random browser identifier is stored in a first-party cookie for up to one year. The analytics database stores a protected version of that identifier, approximate country, referring website domain, broad device category, pages viewed, download requests and Google Drive link clicks. It does not store IP addresses, full browser identifiers such as user-agent strings, or referrer query strings.
Country is looked up locally on this server using an IP-to-country database. The IP address is not sent to a geolocation service. Country estimates can be inaccurate, especially when using a VPN. IP Geolocation by DB-IP.
Your choice
Current preference: Not chosen — statistics are off. You can change it here at any time. Declining removes the measurement identifier cookie and stops future measurement. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are also respected.
Retention and limits
Visit and interaction records are retained for up to 395 days and removed during daily cleanup when the next measured visit occurs. Browser records are removed after 395 days without measured activity. First-time visitor means the first measured visit for that browser. Clearing cookies, using another browser or changing devices may create another visitor. Only consenting browsers are measured; administrator sessions, known bots and prefetch requests are excluded.
A download request does not confirm that a transfer finished. For Google Drive, only opening the link can be measured; the actual download happens on Google's service. The dashboard shows aggregate counts, never a list of individual visitors.
Essential session cookies are also used for login and form security. Web-server access and security logs are separate from the optional analytics database. Embedded Hugging Face demos and Google Drive are external services with their own privacy practices.
